This has been my favorite restaurant up until this point. It is a great place to get some great kebabs fresh off the grill. Each kebab is only 15Bs and each one comes with a side of cheesy rice, yuca, and salad. I went with 3 of my kids and my wife. We ate until we were completely full and we ended up eating 9 kebabs. As you finish each kebab, you put the skewer in a bucket at the table. When you’re ready to pay, you just take the bucket of skewers to the cash register and they count them up. With the 2L bottle of water and 9 kebabs, it cost us 145Bs (Just under $14 usd at the time)
- La Casa Del Chaqueño - Norte
We tried out this restaurant this weekend and it was better than average but not amazing. For my family we ordered the Mixto Chancho a la Cruz (medio), the Pacú a la Parrilla, and the Pique Macho. The food was good but not enough to make me want to rush back. I wasn’t a big fan of the Pique but I think that was mostly because of the hot dogs that were used. The texture was a little squishy and not as firm as what I prefer. The beef that came with the Mixto was really good and I would purchase that again. My wife really enjoyed the fish. Overall it was a good experience but I probably won’t go back frequently. I’ll attach some pictures of their menu to help you decide if you want to try it out or not.
- La Casa del Sabor
This is my brother-in-law’s favorite pizza place in Cochabamba. It is an Argentine pizza parlor that cooks everything with their wood-fired oven. It’s fun to see the large oven right near where you eat. For this visit we got the mozzarella, hawaiian, and napolitana pizzas, some of their empanadas, passion fruit juice, and a coke. The total came out to just over 400 Bs (around $38 usd at the time). The pizzas taste great and have the wood fired flavor from the oven. They are very heavy on the cheese and a little light on the sauce. It’s a place I would take friends again because it is a fun atmosphere and the pizzas are great. Next time I’ll probably try one that is a little heavier with meat but I was happy with all of our choices. As always, the passion fruit juice did not disappoint.
